These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Luma
app ("Luma", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the app, you agree
to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Luma. Please also read
our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your data.
1. Who can use Luma
Luma is intended for adults aged 18 or older. By using the app,
you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and are legally able to enter into
these Terms. Luma is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly allow minors
to use the app.
2. Your account
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for
keeping your login credentials secure.
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
You may not share, sell, or transfer your account to anyone else.
3. What Luma is
Luma is an AI companion. The companion, its personality,
messages, "memories", and generated images are produced by artificial
intelligence for entertainment and companionship.
The companion is not a real person and does not provide
professional advice. Luma is not a substitute for medical, mental-health,
legal, financial, or other professional services. If you are in crisis
or need help, please contact a qualified professional or your local emergency
services.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Luma to:
Break any law or infringe the rights of others.
Attempt to generate, request, or share content that sexualizes or depicts
minors, or any other illegal content.
Harass, threaten, or harm others, or attempt to identify or impersonate
real people.
Reverse-engineer, disrupt, overload, scrape, or gain unauthorized access to
the app, its systems, or the underlying AI providers.
Circumvent safety, moderation, age, or usage controls.
We may apply automated and manual moderation, and we may suspend or terminate
accounts that violate these Terms or put the service or other users at risk.
5. Content
Your input. You are responsible for the messages and prompts
you submit. Do not submit content you do not have the right to share.
Generated content. AI-generated responses and images may be
inaccurate, unexpected, or repeated across users. You use generated content at
your own discretion. Given how generative AI works, we cannot guarantee that any
generated content is unique or free of third-party rights.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the app
and the content generated for you, subject to these Terms.
6. Credits and purchases
Luma uses a credit system. Some actions (such as sending a
message or generating an image) consume credits. New accounts receive a one-time
free allotment of credits.
Additional credits may be purchased as in-app purchases, either as one-time
credit packs or through the Luma Plus subscription described in
section 7. All purchases are processed by the Apple App Store or Google
Play and are subject to their terms and refund policies.
Consumed credits are generally non-refundable.
Credits have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money, and are not
transferable.
Prices, credit costs, and free allotments may change over time.
7. Luma Plus subscription
Luma Plus is an optional auto-renewing subscription. It is not
required to use Luma: the free credit allotment, the companion, and one-time credit
packs remain available without it.
What it includes. Each billing period, your account is credited
with the number of credits stated on the subscription screen in the app
(currently 250 credits per month).
Price and billing period. The price and period are shown in the
app before you confirm, in your local currency as set by the store. Payment is
charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase.
Automatic renewal. The subscription renews automatically for the
same period and price unless you turn off auto-renewal at least 24 hours
before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal
within 24 hours before the current period ends.
Managing and cancelling. You can manage the subscription or turn
off auto-renewal at any time in your Apple ID account settings
(iOS) or Google Play subscriptions (Android). We cannot cancel
it for you. Cancelling stops future charges; you keep access for the remainder of
the period you have already paid for.
Credits you have already received are yours. Credits granted by a
subscription period do not expire and are not removed when the
subscription ends, is cancelled, or is refunded. Unused credits carry over.
Changes. We may change the price or the number of credits
included. Changes apply to future billing periods, never retroactively, and the
stores will notify you of a price increase as their rules require.
Refunds are handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play under
their own policies, not by us.
8. Availability & changes
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the app at any time, and we may
update these Terms. When we update the Terms, we will revise the "Last updated"
date above. Continued use of the app after changes take effect means you accept the
updated Terms.
9. Termination
You may stop using Luma and request account deletion at any time (see the
Privacy Policy). We may suspend or terminate your access
if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the service.
10. Disclaimers
Luma is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of
any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do
not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that any
generated content will be accurate or suitable for any purpose.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Luma and its developer will not be liable
for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for
any loss of data, arising out of or related to your use of the app. Nothing in these
Terms limits rights that cannot be limited under applicable law.
